Silvia, the young owner of La Ghiandaia, will be honoured to introduce you to her beautiful property, located in the Chianti hills of Tuscany, and to organise everything required for your wedding.
At 550 m above sea level and surrounded by 23 hectares of woods and fields, La Ghiandaia offers an oasis of peace and nature, relaxation and tranquillity. Kept private and cool all summer long by the chestnut forest ajoining the house, La Ghiandaia looks out over the green valley of river Arno. The house dates back to the 12 C and has been carefully restored, with particular attention to the preserving the past and providing present-day comforts. We offer apartments for 2 to 7 guests, for a total of 30 to 35, all fully equipped with kitchen and private areas for sitting outside in the shade.
For your wedding buffet you can take advantage of the beautiful veranda with its panoramic view, ideal for dancing, or a splendid converted wine cellar for inside dining in case of rain.
Silvia is experienced at organising complete, customised weddings at her house, including accommodation, finding a church or town hall, reserving a suitable restaurant if required, organising the buffet and party at her house with musicians and waiters, flower decorations, rental vans and wedding car and in general everything that is necessary to make such day happy and memorable for you and your close friends and relatives.
Marrying in the Tuscan countryside is really a kind of magic and Silvia offers her guests skills and enthusiasm to make it happen at La Ghiandaia.
We are open from Easter to end of October.
Facilities include spring water, parking areas, barbecues, large swimming pool (6 x 12 m), bowling green, football field, table tennis, trekking areas, mountain bikes, tourist information, possibility to buy wine, local products and honey, and to play golf (15km) or go horse riding (7 km).

La Ghiandaia is located near Lucolena, 30 km from Florence, 15 km from Greve in Chianti, 40 km from Siena.

Silvia provided the most amazing wedding we could have imagined at the beautiful La Ghiandaia. From the first instance we met Silvia, we knew we had found the friendliest, most efficient, wonderful host and wedding organiser. Silvia took care of all the wedding details from flowers, to photographer, to car hire, to waiting staff. Even putting on her chef's hat to put together the wedding buffet! Everything was arranged to perfection, she understood our needs immediately, negotiating prices on our behalf and recommending excellent local services. We could not have wished for a more exquisite wedding or breathtaking location; nor for a host who felt more like a member of the family!
